Wood is one of the oldest materials to be used by humans; initially, it served as a building material and a source of energy. For Jolanta Płotkowska it has been a fount of inspiration for many years. You can now admire her works in the AMIA exhibition hall.
Born on 16 May 1974 in Toruń. Graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń with a degree in Art Education in the Plastic Arts.
The artist has also completed a course of study in Substance Abuse Psychotherapy – Drug Addiction Therapy and Rehabilitation at the Institute of Health Psychology in Warsaw. Currently, she is working towards a certificate as a Substance Abuse Therapist (Institute of Health Psychology) and practices art therapy aimed at the treatment of addictions.
She has participated in a number of individual and collective exhibitions and won numerous competitions and awards. She is a member of the Polish Plastic Artists’ Association.

• an award from the Friends of Fine Arts Association of the Nicolaus Copernicus University for a series of drawings “Zapis–Szufladowanie” (2015);
• a distinction awarded by the Toruń Branch of the Polish Plastic Artists’ Association for a series of drawings “Zapis - Szufladowanie”;
• the 1st Prize of the Mayor of the City of Toruń at the 41st Dzieło Roku Annual Competition of 2014/2015. ZPAP Gallery in Toruń (2015).
